Situated in a delightful rural village, 5km from Payrac, the medieval town of Gourdon just 10km away. 20km to Rocamadour. Large market towns such as Cahors and Brive are at a 40 minute drive. The nearest attractions are Rocamadour and the Gouffre (Gap) of Padirac. Full banking services and shops are available in either Martel or Vayrac.
The famous Dordogne river is nearby, meandering through beautiful cliff-hung gorges where you can rent a canoe and glide gently downstream, perhaps stopping off for a picnic on the riverbank and taking a swim. Elsewhere, both short and long walks are clearly marked to take in the magnificent scenery that first attracted your hosts to the area. Take your binoculars and watch the buzzards and red kite soar above you or search out the wild orchids of the Causse.
