A stone staircase leads from the terrace to a glass door that opens directly into a spacious modern kitchen with large double windows overlooking the garden. The kitchen provides all the necessary equipment for preparing home-cooked meals (electric oven, gas hob, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, washer / dryer, coffee maker, kettle, toaster ...). Thanks to the solid wood dining table and 6 chairs, the exposed beams and the wood stove, it is an ideal place for a cozy dinner. From the kitchen you enter the cozy lounge, complete with two comfortable sofas, an armchair, book shelves filled with books, games and DVDs, coffee table and various lamps.
There is a flat screen TV and a DVD player and another wood stove in the beautiful large stone fireplace. The character of the building has been retained with the visible beams, stone walls and an original stone sink. A glass door leads to a raised terrace at the back of the house - ideal for an evening aperitif! From the living room you enter the first bedroom through a small corridor. This room features a double bed, a wardrobe, a chest of drawers, bedside tables and lamps. This bedroom has a private bathroom with shower, heated towel rail, sink and toilet.
A wooden staircase leads from the sitting room to the first floor. The second bedroom has a double bed, complete with large wardrobe, bedside tables and lamps, and a TV to watch only DVDs. There is a modern and spacious bathroom with shower, sink, heated towel rail and toilet. There is also a baby table. The third bedroom has two single beds that can be joined together, a chest of drawers and a lamp. This bedroom has a compact bathroom with a bath, a separate shower, a heated towel rail and a sink. A separate toilet completes this floor. Internet Wifi access throughout the house.

The extensive grounds are very well maintained and planted with numerous shrubs, mature trees and roses. The private pool is heated from May to September and has a shallow area of about 1 m20 and a deep end of 2 m. It is secured by a floating hard cover. There is a barbecue, table and chairs, sun loungers and parasols on the terrace around the pool. The terrace is the ideal place to relax while enjoying the view!
The house is located in a small hamlet called La Rivière, and is literally 200 meters from the banks of the Dordogne, where you can swim or rent canoes easily for a trip along the river to the neighboring towns of Cénac, La Roque Gageac, Beynac and further ! Ideally located just 5 km from the historic hill village of Domme; 6 km from La Roque Gageac and 9 km from Sarlat; the house is the ideal place to discover the area and all major tourist sites of the Dordogne. The village of Vitrac offers a few excellent restaurants and is a short walk from the house, across the bridge.
