Villa Marta is a beautiful spacious holiday home for 6 people with a private heated pool and a beautiful 360° view. With 2 hectares of garden, peace and space are guaranteed. This former barn has been completely restored. Traditional elements have been preserved, giving this accommodation a lot of atmosphere and character.
Description
A large and spacious living room with many windows allowing you to enjoy the beautiful views from every corner. A comfortable sitting area with sofas, a flat screen TV with both French and English channels. A cozy dining area with a solid wooden dining table for 6 people. A fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, oven, hob, fridge freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee machine and toaster. There are a total of 3 bedrooms
On the ground floor you will find bedroom 1. This bedroom has air conditioning and a double bed 140x200 and has a bathroom with a shower and a separate toilet.
A wooden staircase leads to the first floor, where you will find bedroom 2 under the eaves. This bedroom has a king size bed 180x200, bedside tables and lamps and double room with air conditioning. The 3rd bedroom with 2 single beds and is also air conditioned. On the first floor you will find a family bathroom with bath and shower and double sinks. A separate toilet complements this floor.
Outside
From the living room patio doors provide access to the large terrace, pool and garden. The terrace has a dining table and chairs for alfresco dining. The large swimming pool (14m x 5m) is heated and completely private and is equipped with sun loungers and an electric cover for the safety of the children. The garden is 2 hectares and offers plenty of space for ball games, and there is a table tennis table. The house is located on a plateau so you can enjoy the 360° views. Many hiking trails lead from the house, allowing you to explore the surrounding walnut groves and forests.
For those who like to hike there are hundreds of miles of trails. This part of the Dordogne, the far south east, where the Perigord meets the Quercy is probably one of the most beautiful areas in France. But not just that: it has a very favourable own mini-climate thanks to two mountain ridges that protects the area from rain, wind and cold. The annual average temperature is among the highest of France.
On this and other hills the local Domme Wine (AOC) is produced. Pomerol, St.Emilion, Graves, Medoc and other world famous wine districts are ‘around the corner’.
The house is situated at 2 km from the center of the beautiful medieval village of Daglan (with all facilities including a mid size supermarket) and all of the famous attractions are on your doorstep. Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Limeul, Beynac, Domme.
Activities
There is an 18 hole and 9 hole golf course at Siorac and another in Vitrac. Hiking, canoeing.
