Description
Pigeonnier de Mayac offers a warm, atmospheric living room with a fireplace and a fully equipped, well-restored kitchen where you can cook comfortably and enjoy time together.
The house features two spacious bedrooms on the first floor:
Bedroom 1 (26 m²): double bed (160 x 200 cm) and a single bed (90 x 190 cm)
Bedroom 2 (16 m²): two single beds (90 x 190 cm) and a bunk bed (90 x 190 cm)
The bathroom is equipped with a bathtub with shower and a washbasin.
Outside
Surrounding the house, you can enjoy a spacious, enclosed garden with various pleasant shady spots. Children can play and romp around here to their heart's content in complete freedom.
Just a few dozen meters away lies the large shared swimming pool measuring 14 x 5 meters, safely enclosed and ideal for relaxation and cooling off on warm days.
The garden is designed for optimal outdoor living with a large dining table, comfortable chairs, sun loungers, and parasols. Additionally, there is a barbecue for long summer evenings and atmospheric outdoor lighting for extra coziness.
For the active holidaymaker, there are plenty of options: a table tennis table on the premises, and in the surrounding area you can go hiking, cycling, golfing, or horseback riding. Everything for a relaxing and active holiday in the Dordogne.
Important to know
The swimming pool is shared with guests of another gîte and the east wing of the château on the estate. The pool is open from early May to late September.
The estate has a quiet and peaceful atmosphere and is very child-friendly. In addition to this gîte, there are other accommodations on the grounds; it is also possible to rent the entire estate for larger groups.
Hospitable management
The Dutch manager has lived just 1 kilometer away for over 25 years and is always ready to help you and make your stay as pleasant as possible.
In the immediate vicinity there are many well-marked hiking trails and you can also discover nature in the forest behind it with the avenue with ancient plane trees along the river Isle. From the Chateau you can walk straight to the river, it is centrally located with regard to all kinds of activities, shops and sights.
Restaurants can be found 2 km from the house, shops with groceries are within 2 km. The house is located on the border of the Périgord Vert and the Périgord Blanc in the southern French Dordogne.
For a day out you can visit the surrounding towns of Excideuil (10 km), Tourtoirac (18 km) or Perigueux (23 km).
