You will find the beautiful house Maison Toumassou in a prime location in the Dordogne. Maison Toumassou can accommodate 8 people and 2 babies and is situated on a hilly plot of 2 hectares and offers a fantastic panoramic view over the valley to the east. There is a brand new heated swimming pool with generous decking around it is perhaps the best place to enjoy your morning coffee or sunset aperitif.
Description
The main living area of Maison Toumassou is on the first floor. It offers a spacious open plan living and dining area. The house has a large kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hobs, microwave, two coffee machines (bean-to-cup & Nespresso Magimix with integrated milk frother), bar with 2 stools, plenty of work space and direct access to the outdoor terrace and dining area. The spacious corridor with shoe racks is adjacent to the living room which can comfortably accommodate up to 8 people, 2 sofas; one of which reclines and has built-in USB points for charging; fireplace and a new 40 inch smart TV.
The elevated dining area is adjacent to the entrance hall and lounge and seats 6 to 8 people. For the smaller visitors there are 2 highchairs available for use.
There are 4 bedrooms
Bedroom 1 is the master bedroom with four poster bed, ensuite bathroom and a balcony overlooking the pool. The room is accessed through a corridor leading from the living room. It is a spacious master bedroom with adjoining ensuite bathroom. The room; complete with four-poster bed, matching bedside tables, peacock chair, chest of drawers and extensive fitted wardrobes; opens onto the balcony facing east and overlooking the pool. Perfect for an early morning cup of coffee while watching the sun rise over the horizon! This new en-suite bathroom features a free-standing bath with east-facing views across the valley, double sinks, Italian walk-in shower and toilet.
The other bedrooms are on the ground floor. Bedroom 2 is a twin room with a double bed
Bedroom 3 has two single beds
Bedroom 4 has a single bed with a pull-out drawer underneath where a second single bed is located
Each bedroom has built-in wardrobe space and a view of the outdoor playground/pool.
These bedrooms share a family bathroom which consists of a sink, toilet and bath/shower.
For convenience we provide a high chair, cot, baby bath, 2 footstools and children's cutlery & crockery. The utility room is equipped with washing machine, sink and laundry baskets.
Outside
From the outdoor terrace you have unforgettable views over the beautiful landscape of the Dordogne. The private pool is heated and offers the right place to relax or sunbathe. The terrace is equipped with a large dining table with seating for 8 people. And just a few feet from the kitchen and outdoor BBQ; enjoy unobstructed views of the pool and beyond across the valley. To the rear of the house is plenty of room to explore and play amongst the varied trees and shrubs. Enough opportunity to sit quietly and enjoy a moment of peace.
If you're looking for a beach with great views of the Dordogne river and great for paddling or swimming, Siorac and Pont du Garrit are just a 5 minute drive away.
Located in the heart of the touristic Dordogne (Périgord Noir) - the classified villages of Beynac, Roque Gageac, Domme, Belves, the medieval town of Sarlat, the caves of Lascaux, Proumessac, Font de Gaume, the castles of Castlenaud, the Milandes etc etc ... are all accessible within a radius of 25 km. The Olivarie golf course (18 holes) is 5 km from the house. The Dordogne, where you can swim without risk, is 5 km from the house. The villages with all amenities of Siorac and Saint-Cyprien are equidistant at 4km from the house.
By car we are within striking distance of Bergerac airport (45 mins), Sarlat (25 mins), Beynac (15 mins) and St Cyprien (10 mins).
