The house is situated on the edge of a small hamlet and is surrounded by 4 hectares of private grounds, consisting of woods, an orchard, and walking paths. Despite its tranquil location, La Maison Louverie is just minutes from the Dordogne River, historic bastides, wine regions, and charming villages.
La Maison Louverie exudes history. The oldest part of the building dates back to the 11th century and has undergone several extensions over the centuries. The result is a charming and authentic Perigordine country house with beamed ceilings, natural stone, and warm, rustic styling.

La Maison Louverie is located just below the pleasant town of Lalinde. The region has many attractions, such as 2000 year old caves, but also the many bastides and vineyards. Canoes can be hired in the area to sail the Dordogne River. Lalinde has a lively market every week where various regional products are sold.
