Maison Le Nid is a centuries-old stone house, built with beautiful and unique pink stone that distinguishes it from the characteristic honey-colored houses in this region.
Description
The house is spread over two floors and furnished with care, where authentic details and comfort come together harmoniously – a true Dordogne experience in the French countryside.
On the spacious ground floor, you will find an atmospheric living room with an original fireplace and a cozy wood-burning stove. Comfortable sofas and large windows provide plenty of natural light and a warm, inviting atmosphere. From the living room, you have access to a small courtyard at the front of the house, where the remains of an old wood-fired bread oven serve as a reminder of the property's rich past.
At the end of the hallway is the country-style kitchen with beautiful exposed beams. The kitchen is fully equipped with a refrigerator with freezer, hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, and toaster, among other things. The large dining table seats 8 people, and French doors lead directly into the garden.
Behind the kitchen are a spacious bathroom and a practical utility room that also serves as a dressing room. The bathroom features a freestanding bathtub with a rain shower.

One of the double rooms features an impressive fireplace, wooden floors, and an antique wardrobe. The other room stands out due to the beautiful beams of the high ceiling. There is also a separate toilet on the upper floor.
Bedroom, towels, and hair dryers are included. For families with young children, 2 cots, 2 high chairs, stair gates, and a baby bath are available. Additionally, toys, a selection of board games, and books are provided.

Outside
Maison Le Nid is reached via a picturesque country lane. Although situated in a small hamlet, you will enjoy plenty of privacy and tranquility here, without direct views from neighbors.
The fully enclosed garden of approximately 4,000 m² offers ample space to relax. Here you will find a small orchard with fruit trees and several cozy spots to sit or dine outdoors. There is a large dining table for 8 people, an extra table for 4 people, and a charcoal barbecue.
Additionally, there are 4 sun loungers and a parasol available to make the most of the long summer days. For extra entertainment, there is a ping-pong table. Cyclists can make use of secure bicycle storage, and there is private parking for 3 to 4 cars.
Maison Le Nid is located in the beautiful Périgord Noir region, on the border of the Dordogne and the Corrèze. The River Vézère is just a 15-minute drive away, and Brive-Souillac Airport can be reached in approximately 45 minutes.
The region is easily accessible by train via the stations of Terrasson-Lavilledieu and Brive, with connections to Périgueux and the famous Sarlat, among others. Furthermore, the surroundings are ideal for hiking and cycling enthusiasts.
For daily shopping, Terrasson-Lavilledieu is just 10 minutes away. Here you will find supermarkets, bakeries, cafes, and restaurants, as well as a lively weekly market on Thursday mornings.
In the summer, the public swimming pool in Terrasson is highly recommended: recently renovated and equipped with a 25-meter pool, children's pool, water play equipment, and a spectacular slide – perfect for a refreshing day with the whole family.
