On the edge of a tiny hamlet, in a beautiful location between the towns of Monflanquin (4km) and Villereal (10km), you will find the beautiful holiday home La Corniere. It is a large holiday home for 10 people, with a large garden and private pool and views over the surrounding countryside. It is perfect for families with children.
Description
La Corniere is a large holiday home in the Lot en Garonne with private pool. The heart of the house is the kitchen and dining room. The large kitchen is fully equipped including a dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, double oven, hob and Nespresso machine. Adjacent you will find the utility room and laundry room with washing machine and dryer. The dining room provides access to the terrace. The terrace has a large table for family meals. There is a cozy lounge with a wood burner, sofas and TV, and a Yamaha NU1 hybrid piano. There is a separate toilet on the ground floor.
There is WiFi and a TV with UK channels and a DVD player. Cell phone reception is good.
There are 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms
Bedroom 1 is located on the ground floor and is a very large and bright room with a king size bed and ensuite bathroom with bath and large separate shower.
Bedroom 2 is also located on the ground floor and is a lovely and bright room with a king size bed and views of Monflanquin. And a bathroom with shower.
On the first floor you will find bedrooms 3 and 4. These are both doubles and there is a large family bathroom with bath and large separate shower. The attached gite has its own entrance. It has a double bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and a large living room with beams, a kitchenette (fridge, kettle) and a sofa bed (please let us know if you would like it made up). The sitting room opens onto the front garden on one side and a shaded terrace on the other, with views across the garden and pool to the countryside.
Bed linen and towels (including beach towels) are included.
Outside
There is a large gated parking area in front of the house for five cars. In the large stone barn there is a shaded parking space. The garden surrounds the house and has two shaded south west facing terraces overlooking the pool. There is a trampoline and a gas barbecue.
The swimming pool (10mx5m) has a sun terrace and sun loungers.

All amenities are within 5 minutes, including large supermarket, bakeries, shops and restaurants. Bergerac airport is 40 minutes away. The beautiful medieval hilltop town of Monflanquin is 4 km away. The main square is particularly pretty with pretty stone arcades, around which you'll find an excellent selection of food and drink options. There is a market every Thursday and the city is always lively. The view from the edges of the city is spectacular. Villereal is 10 km away. It has a beautiful town square with an impressive fourteenth-century market hall surrounded by half-timbered houses and arcades. You can shop here and enjoy good food and drink; there is a market every Saturday morning and a night market on Mondays in summer.
There are more bastide towns all over the area, including Issigeac and Monpazier (both about 20 minutes). Beautiful castles and other important historical sites (including Lascaux Caves and Perigeux Cathedral) are within easy reach. Bergerac is about 40 minutes away, with excellent shopping and dining, and a beautiful location on the Dordogne. The area offers excellent walking, cycling and swimming opportunities, as well as kayaking and other water sports on both the Lot and Dordogne. La Cornière is exceptionally well located to explore, but it is also the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy the region's excellent food and wines.
