Gîte Platane is a spacious and comfortable holiday home that has been officially awarded a four-star rating. The property has been fully restored and is equipped with all modern amenities. Thanks to excellent insulation and central heating, the gîte ensures a comfortable stay throughout the year.
The traditional kitchen is fully equipped, featuring an induction hob, oven, refrigerator, and dishwasher, among other appliances. A washing machine, tumble dryer, and drying racks are also provided.
The ground floor also houses a toilet and a separate shower room—ideal for use during the day or after spending time at the pool.
The spacious living room features a comfortable seating area for 6 to 8 people and a separate dining area. Amenities include a television with French and English channels, Wi-Fi, a computer, books, DVDs, and various board games. In short, no one need ever be bored, even on a quiet day spent at the gîte. There are three spacious bedrooms on the first floor.
Bedroom 1: double bed and a private shower room.
Bedroom 2: two single beds that can be pushed together to form a king-size bed if desired.
Bedroom 3: two single beds that can also be joined to form a king-size bed.
The gîte comfortably accommodates 6 adults. Two extra beds can be added upon request for larger groups. There is also a small sofa bed in the living room.
For families with young children, a cot is available, and a stair gate can be installed upon request.
Outdoors
Gîte Platane is set in spacious grounds covering no less than 10,000 m², offering plenty of privacy, greenery, and space to enjoy the French outdoor lifestyle.
A striking feature of the garden is the impressive, approximately 300-year-old plane tree, from which the gîte takes its name. During the warm summer months, this large tree also provides a delightful, natural shaded area.
The garden features a large swimming pool alongside a rustic summer kitchen. This outdoor kitchen is fully equipped with a gas hob, oven, sink, and refrigerator—ideal for long summer evenings when you want to cook and dine outdoors together.
There is also a pétanque court, pleasantly shaded by mature oak trees. It is the perfect spot for a relaxing game of pétanque with family or friends.
Welcome basket and extra services
For stays of several days, a welcome basket awaits you upon arrival, containing essentials such as wine, cheese, coffee, tea, and bread.
Arriving late? By prior arrangement, the owners can also do some shopping for you, ensuring the essentials are already stocked in the gîte upon your arrival. It is a welcome extra service, especially if you prefer not to go grocery shopping immediately after a long journey.
Low-season rates are based on two people sharing a bedroom. Due to the higher costs associated with larger groups, a surcharge of €10 per person per night applies. Tourist tax for guests over 18 is €1.73 per night.
Accessibility
A car is essential. Public transport options in the French countryside are limited. Bicycles and e-bikes can be rented in Eymet.
The owners live next door to the gîte and know the area well. Feel free to ask them for recommendations regarding scenic walks, local markets, restaurants, sights, charming villages, and interesting excursions.
