Description
Gite Issac is fully equipped and is suitable for 2 people. The gite is located 8 meters from the River Lot, a true fishing paradise with, among other things, carp and catfish.
The entrance has a hall with toilet and a separate laundry room with washing machine. There is a spacious living room with a cozy dining area and an open kitchen. This includes an oven and hob (electric), a dishwasher, a refrigerator and a separate freezer. But also a filter coffee machine and a Nespresso machine and of course all other necessities to cook deliciously. The living room gives access to the large terrace with a beautiful view of the Lot. There is satellite TV with all Dutch channels and free internet. The bedroom is next to the living room, followed by a bathroom with walk-in shower.
Outside
The domaine is 1.3 hectares. In front of the terrace is your own large private jetty and to the right of the terrace you will find a saltwater swimming pool. In the garden you will find many (fruit) trees and beautiful shrubs. There are various types of apple, pear, cherry, fig and plum trees, as well as peach, apricot, persimmon and many raspberry bushes. You can enjoy it when the fruits are ripe. In addition, there are always some tasty vegetables on the side of the cottage, which you can use. The property is completely fenced and access is only through the electronic gate. The owners are real animal lovers. They have a number of dogs, but also 3 cats, 5 Cameroon sheep, 2 donkeys and 20 chickens, which roam free and lay the tastiest eggs in the world. In the garden you will also find a jeu de boule court which you can of course make unlimited use of.
There is also the possibility to rent two powerful electric bicycles!
Fishing
You can enjoy fantastic fishing at this unique spot on the Lot, from your own jetty. The jetty is located about 8 meters from your house or from a boat. In the Lot there are many and also large fish. Catfish, carp (mirror carp and common carp), barbel, zander, black bass, eel, bream and chub. The Lot is almost 170 meters wide from this spot and about 12 meters deep in the middle. The banks are partly covered with overhanging branches and there is hardly any boating traffic and no strong currents, because the domaine is on a dammed part (between Villeneuve-sur-Lot and Castelmoron).
For fishermen there is also an extra, private, fish hutch containing: An extra freezer and refrigerator, an induction hob with a large pan for corn or tiger nuts, a fish tank with air pump. Very handy, because then the rods and the food can easily be stored there. In short, it is the ideal place to try fishing luck in open water.
Night fishing from the jetty is allowed and we can arrange a fishing license for you at cost.
Rates +/-:
€ 13,- for a day,
€ 33,- per week or
€ 77 per year.
The owners have a boat that you can rent (€ 40 per week) with an electric motor.
You can also rent two new electric bicycles, with which you can make beautiful trips in the area.
Lot et Garonne as the province is called is unknown, but no less loved for that. It is not called the Tuscany of France for nothing. This is mainly because of the many picturesque bastide villages built on hilltops with restaurants on cozy squares.
There is a wide range of restaurants in the area, especially in the picturesque villages built on the many hills in the immediate vicinity. The area is also a true paradise for wine lovers, the wine regions of Cahors, Bergerac, Buzet, Duras and Bordeaux are all less than an hour away by car. A visit to the beautiful town of St Emilion is especially a must.
