This beautiful accommodation is suitable for 16 people. There are 9 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a 100 m² lounge, a large swimming pool overlooking the Dordogne and thus the castle offers its guests an exceptional holiday environment.

Through the heavy solid wooden door, the hallway leads you to the reception rooms and the kitchen. The monumental spiral staircase gives access to the first floor, where the bedrooms are located, and to the garden level where the swimming pool is located. The beautiful lounge is over 100 m² and has 4.50 meter high ceilings and offers remarkable views of the Dordogne River flowing beneath the castle. There are several armchairs and coffee tables harmoniously arranged around the beautiful stone fireplace. Adjacent to the large living room you will find the small round living room in the tower, intimate and warm. The view over the valley and the Dordogne is even more exceptional.
The kitchen is very spacious and has been completely renovated offering high quality modern appliances to prepare local dishes at your leisure. The dining room has a large heavy dining table for 16 people and the fantastic monumental stone fireplace completes this room.
On the 1st floor, the wide hallway leads to 6 spacious bedrooms, all with wooden floors, exposed beams, character furniture and exceptional river views.
Bedroom 1 is the large red suite (70 m²) and has a large double bed (180 cm) and an extra single bed. There is a private bathroom with bath, separate shower and toilet and again a beautiful view over the valley.
Bedroom 2 is the yellow suite and has a large double bed (160 cm), an extra bed and an adjacent bathroom overlooking the courtyard.
Bedroom 3 is a spacious library suite. This room has a double bed (140 cm), tall bookcases, a lavish fireplace and an adjacent bathroom with toilet. View of the courtyard and the Dordogne Valley.
Bedroom 4 is a children's paradise, with two bunk beds for 4 people. This room also has a private bathroom with shower, two sinks and toilets. View over the valley.
Bedroom 5 has two single beds, a cot and a bathroom and toilet.
This bedroom gives access to a small circular room, found in the tower, which is equipped with a single bed, ideal for a child who wants to sleep with his parents. Beautiful view over the Dordogne.
On the 2nd floor you will find the remaining 3 bedrooms with still majestic views of the river!
Bedroom 7 has a large double bed (160 cm), the bathroom with adjacent toilet and simply a spectacular view!
Bedroom 8 has a single bed and a toilet with sink and a view of the courtyard.
Bedroom 9 has two single beds with an extra bed and an adjacent bathroom with toilet. View of the courtyard.
Outside
The gardens contribute to the feeling of space, peace and privacy. From the accommodation you have a beautiful view over the swimming pool and the Dordogne. There is a playground, a rose garden and many centenary trees that give the castle a fairytale atmosphere. The panoramic terrace with garden tables and chairs, large parasol and gas barbecue guarantees delicious lunches and dinners in the summer. It offers spectacular views of the Dordogne and unforgettable memories of the sunset during dinner. The swimming pool (12m x 6m) has Roman steps. It is equipped with sun loungers, parasols and garden tables.
Important
The chateau is located in a steep and car-free village, access to the castle is possible by car, up to the Cour d'Honneur, where you can park up to 8 cars.
Bed linen, bathroom and pool towels are included, as well as a weekly change.

Preference is given to a rental of two consecutive weeks in August. Single weeks will be accepted as they appear.
Chateau Gageac is located in the center of the Perigord Noir. Just a short drive from numerous historical sites and monuments - the Lascaux caves, castles such as the feudal fortress of Beynac and the medieval jewel of Sarlat. But you are in one of the most beautiful and famous Chateaus in the Dordogne!
