We have just returned from our week staying in Le Mazet and WOW what a fantastic gem it is, The location and the views were just perfect, not only did the Gites have everything you could possibly need the attention to detail was superb, Rupert and Frank are just the nicest hosts anyone could ask for we will definitely be returning in the future

Such a jewel in the crown in terms of hospitality and location. Rupert and Franck were the perfect hosts. Attention to detail in Le Mazet was perfect along with a welcome pack including home made jam..... I would not hesitate in recommending Le Mas & Le Mazet to anyone who wants peace and tranquility. Conveniently located in the Dordogne within easy access to Bergerac and Sarlat, Le Mazet is ideal for those wishing to take an active or peaceful break in the countryside, as well as exploring the many medieval villages in the area. Comfortable accommodation with everything provided, the owners could not have been more helpful in ensuring that we had a positive memorable stay. Strongly recommended.

Le Mazet is truly a fantastic holiday home. There is no other conclusion for us!
The beautiful view, the peace, the space. The house is trendy and very fully furnished. Equipped with every comfort.
In addition, the entire site, le Mas and le Mazet, feels very good. The beautiful gardens that are palpably maintained with love.
The hosts Rupert and Franck are wonderful people. Friendly, warm and very welcoming.
A big 10 plus!

It was spring and a charming little house (le Mazet) covered with blooming rosebushes awaited us in the Périgord.
At the top of a hill, with a clear view on the forest and the surrounding fields, an old farm of the XVII.
Frank and Rupert, its owners, have managed to preserve an ancient heritage while adding modern comforts. Every detail (and there are several) is thought out for your well-being, whether you are small or large, whether it's sunny or raining.
We will remember the time spent reading under the old oak trees, the sunsets sipping a good wine, shared games ...
We appreciated the presence of our hosts, always warm and discreet.
We will surely come back in autumn to find other colors ...

The perfect escape! Wonderful hosts, superb accommodation and beautiful location!
Le Mazet is the perfect bolt hole, it is decorated beautifully and was really well-equipped. The upstairs sitting room and kitchen are comfortable, especially with the fire. Downstairs the bedroom and bathroom were light and airy. The weather was great, so I sat happily in the garden at the end of the day with a glass of wine. The owners were really welcoming and I can’t wait to come back.

Rupert and Franck have created an elegant, comfortable and well-appointed home which our group of four couples loved. We stayed for 10 days and used it as a base to explore the Dordogne region. Everything is organized to make guests feel at home, from comfortable beds, lots of hot water in the en-suite bathrooms, large spaces to cook, eat and lounge - indoors and out - to the fresh bread deliveries and Rupert and Franck’s fabulous attention to detail. They are superb hosts. The location is perfect for walks locally or trips further afield. Highly recommended.

We love Le Mas so much that we have just returned from our second visit there and, like last year, have already booked again for next year. Rupert and Franck have created the perfect holiday home - it is beautifully decorated, spacious and well equipped. They have thought of everything and are welcoming, knowledgeable about the local area and happy to help with anything you throw at them. The location is great and the views from the garden are second to none. If you are looking to stay in the Dordogne then you should book Le Mas before someone else does - you won’t find anywhere better!

We were a party of 8 with ages ranging from 4 to 75 and we all had the time of our life. Rupert and Franck have thought of everything to make their guests feel at home in the most beautiful house (inside and out) pool, and gardens with views and sunsets to die for. We can’t wait to come back.

Rupert and Franck have created a slice of paradise at Le Mas. Their hosting was fantastic - nothing was too much trouble, both before and during our stay, with a wealth of unexpected special touches provided. The property is exceptional - luxurious and peaceful, with stunning gardens and views. We had a wonderfully memorable fortnight as a group of friends, with teenage daughters. Days in the pool or exploring the countryside; evenings in the summer kitchen, watching the sunsets. We cannot recommend Le Mas enough. Perfection!

We recently stayed at Le Mas & Le Mazet with a multi-generational group of 12 including 4 children aged 4 & 6. The properties are stunning, very well thought through and incredibly peaceful. The setting is beautiful and the views are lovely. Rupert and Frank have done a fantastic job of thinking through everything that guests need and their attention to detail is perfect. There is a big selection of outdoor games and activities, indoor games for rainy days and an incredibly well stocked kitchen. We had a very lovely time here and it is definitely be top of our list for any future French trips

This is our 4th stay at Le Mas and every time we leave overwhelmed by the beauty of the location, the excellence of the facilities and the hospitality of it's owners, who are unobtrusively on-hand in their neighbouring property, should you need advice, restaurant bookings, or indeed anything you can think of. Biggest highlights for us with the property specifically are the decor which is beautiful and clean throughout; the kitchen, which has an abundance of anything you could need; the summer kitchen and the BBQ which gives you an incredible view over the pool and valley. I could go on and on!

We have stayed in many places around the world but Le Mas is definitely one of the best, if not the best. This beautiful property set in the most idyllic rural location surrounded by wonderful Dordogne sites and places is simply heaven. It’s luxurious, stylish in its design with absolutely everything you could need for a perfect family holiday. Such careful thought has been given to everything and Rupert and Franck are so helpful and welcoming. We couldn’t recommend this property enough. It’s a slice of French heaven!

Le Mas is a truly exceptional property and the ideal place for a family vacation with friends. The house itself is beautifully decorated and the surrounding countryside and the views from the property are stunning. It's a haven of tranquility from which we enjoyed runs on trails, lounging in the pool, and meals in the summer kitchen as we watched the sunset. Charming villages such as Montpazier and Beaumont(with its delightful evening market) are just a short drive away. Rupert and Franck are the perfect hosts, always on hand to answer questions and assist in planning. We're eager to return!
