La Grave is a villa, being an old fully renovated stone village house with 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for 8 persons with a private heated pool and garden, situated on the outskirts of the medieval village of Saint Cyprien, 10 miles west from Sarlat. Within easy reach of the numerous sites in the Périgord, this comfortable property is the ideal base from which to explore the Dordogne or just relax in.
Description
At street level: Entrance door, covered parking for 1 large car, stairs lead up to the first floor.
At first floor: Spacious fully fitted kitchen (cooker, hob, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, iron) with a large wooden table and a glazed door leading out onto the terrace, first bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite bathroom. A second bedroom with a double bed and an ensuite bathroom too and a glazed door to the terrace, a separate toilet.
From the terrace, steps lead up to the pool area with its wooden decking, poolside shower and views towards the village.
Wooden stairs lead from the first floor up to: a very large sitting room (terrestrial TV, video, DVD, radio - CD) with parquet flooring, exposed stone and beams. The lovely arched window has views over the rooftops of St Cyprien in the distance. The third bedroom with a double bed which has doors opening onto the upper terrace with steps up to the pool. The fourth bedroom with two single beds, is accessed from within the third bedroom, a bathroom, a separate toilet.
Outside
The heated pool area has been carefully planted with a selection of climbing plants, trees and shrubs to provide a private setting. BBQ, parking and garden furniture are available.
During the high season, preference is given to a rental of two consecutive weeks. Single weeks will be accepted as soon as they appear.
La Grave is the ideal spot from which to explore the pretty riverside villages such as Beynac and La Roque Gageac, seemingly impossibly built into the side of a cliff. The medieval Sarlat, the bastides of Domme and Limeuil, where the Dordogne River and Vézère River meet each other, Les Eyzies and the Vézère valley, are all within a 20miles from the house.

Leisure lovers, passive or sportive, will find everything to their taste – Golf at Lolivarie at Siorac-en-Périgord, go Karts at Saint-Geniès, River Boat trips in the " Valley of five Castles ", Mountain bikes and canoes-kayaks in Prehistoric Valley, the Goose farm at Campagnac, the Animal Park and attractions at " Jacquou’s farm ", swimming from Saint Cyprien beach, the Pont de Vicq or the Roque-Gageac).
