From the kitchen you have access through the doors to the terrace with table and chairs and a gas barbecue. The stairs lead to a small lawn and a path to the heated swimming pool, surrounded by a sunbathing area and exotic plants and shrubs. The site is fenced so that children cannot run onto the road. After a day of swimming or sunbathing, you only have to walk a few minutes to the center of Domme with its many restaurants ranging from bistro and pizzeria to world-class gastronomic standards.
Domme is an attraction in itself. Built in the 13th century, it sits above a bend in the Dordogne river. Its history is fascinating and its old buildings and streets have been perfectly preserved. It has restaurants of all classes, a weekly market and its own cave, which is accessible from the market square.
A short distance away are the medieval town of Sarlat (widely used in film scenes), the amazing cave system of Périgord, the spectacular chateaux of Castelnaud, Beynac and Montfort and the troglodyte (caveman) villages of LaRoque Gageac and St Christophe.
