Living area 250m² - 5 bedrooms – 4 bathrooms - The house is furnished to a high standard using a mixture of antiques and modern French wooden furniture.
Ground floor: Large lounge of about 80m² with : a cozy sitting room with a U shape sofa, coffee table, majestic fireplace (in use), piano ; a dining room with table and chairs, dresser
- second TV salon with sofa, coffee table, TV (French and English channels), DVD player, table and 2 chairs. The kitchen is fully equipped to a high standard with fridge, dishwasher, electric ovens, microwave, 4 gas rings, hob. There are a round table and chairs for breakfast and a dresser. Both the lounge and the kitchen has French doors leading to the park.
Two bedrooms, both with a double four poster bed (1x140cm ; 1x160cm). These bedrooms share a large fully tiled shower room with Italian shower and 2 washbasins. Separate toilet. Utility room with washing machine, dryer, iron and iron table, second fridge / freezer and storage space.
1st Floor: A large landing with desk, huge mirror. Bedroom 3: with a 160cm large double bed, sofa and armchairs, and ensuite shower room with toilet. Bedroom 4: with a 160cm large double bed, a 90cm single large bed and an ensuite shower room. Bedroom 5 : with a 140cm large double bed and a adjacent shower room. Separate toilet.
Outside
The large and well maintained park enjoys a large grassland and plenty of mature trees and bushes, including buxus and olive trees. At the front of the house the lawn leads up to a floodlit boules court. The charming eating area is set under the fourth majestic plane trees. It is equipped with garden furniture and a BBQ for you to enjoy dining al fresco. A few meters further away is the private pool of 12mx6m. It is heated from May to September. A panoramic views over the Bessede forest. At the back of the house there is a parking area for 4 cars
Manoir Cadouin is an ideal location for those, who want a peaceful holiday; but it also is close enough to enjoy a wide range of activities, and convenient for visiting many places of interest such as Cadouin, Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Domme, Beynac, La Roque-Gageac, Beaumont etc... all just a short distance away. Just 1.5kms away is the famous village of Cadouin with shops, including a bakery and restaurants. In the area you will also discover lots of local markets where you can taste the Périgord specialties. Cadouin itself boasts a magnificent 12th century abbey which is home to the Holy Shroud of Cadouin (now known to be a fake), bicycle museum, hotel, restaurants, many local artisans, tourist information centre, boulangerie, and a thriving weekly market; a Marché Nocturne on Monday evenings during July, August and early September where visitors mix with locals and buy freshly cooked regional food (nearby Le Buisson de Cadouin holds it evening market on Friday evenings in July and August).
Beautiful medieval Sarlat with its medieval and Renaissance architecture is 25 minutes drive away. Visit the market and be tempted by the gastronomic delights of the region or just sit at a café and watch the world go by. Perigueux (45 minutes drive), the capital of the Dordogne, with its medieval quarter and the Cathédrale St Front. Le Bugue is 12 kms away with its many shops, craft markets and restaurants.
There are village markets most days of the week selling local fruit, vegetables, cheese and wine. Monpazier market is a must as is the Sunday market at St Cyprien. Monpazier (built by the English) is considered to be the best bastide, why not join one of its guided tours of the bastide. Siorac (10 kms) has a large supermarket. Bergerac Airport at 30 minutes.
