This unique accommodation is located in the heart of the city center. Domme is remarkably situated on a rocky cliff overlooking the Dordogne valley. Domme offers an ideal location for those who want a quiet holiday but also want to be close to many attractions, such as Sarlat, Les Eyzies, Beynac, La Roque-Gageac. This is all accessible at a short distance by car. And all the shops and tasteful restaurants of Domme are a short walk from the house.

The solid wooden front door opens to a majestic hall with a high ceiling. A beautiful wooden staircase leads from the street level to the first floor. A spacious landing gives access to the following rooms
A cozy lounge with a TV, a corner sofa, armchairs and a desk. The lounge also leads to the formal lounge with comfortable couch and armchairs around the fireplace, a second sitting area, piano and large windows with a beautiful view over the roofs of Domme and the landscape beyond.
From the sitting room and the landing you enter the dining room. The large room is furnished with solid wood antique furniture. The large kitchen has a beautiful gas stove, a solid wood table and chairs and a cozy fireplace. There is a small refrigerator, a coffee maker, a microwave and all the necessary equipment for preparing delicious home-cooked meals. A second fridge is available in the basement, as well as a washing machine and ironing facilities. Through the landing you will reach the sleeping accommodation:
Bedroom 1: A double bedroom with a large double bed and a decorative fireplace. This bedroom has a private bathroom with bath, bidet and sink.
Bedroom 2: Has a double bed, a desk and a chair and closet space. This bedroom has its own shower room, complete with walk-in shower, sink.
An independent family bathroom offers a small bath and a sink. On this floor there is also a separate toilet. A staircase leads to the second floor, there is
Bedroom 3: with large double bed, wardrobe and desk. The windows have wooden interior shutters.
Bedroom 4: is a children's room with 3 single beds, and a sink is located in a small bathroom. A second family bathroom with bath, bidet and washbasin. Also on this floor is a separate toilet.
Bedroom 5: is located on the ground floor, at street level. A door from the hall leads to a large bedroom with a queen-size double bed, an extra single bed, wardrobe, desk and lamps. This bedroom also has a private bathroom with a shower,a sink and a toilet.

The private garden is accessible via a doorway across the street: here you will find the fantastic large private pool with views over the roofs and the landscape. The pool itself is 16m x 8m, and although it is in the heart of Domme, the only windows overlooking the pool and terraces are the bedrooms of Maison Geoffroy de Vivans himself! The swimming pool is surrounded by a lawn and roses and offers sun loungers and parasols. Hidden behind the house, and accessible through the dining room, is a beautiful courtyard that is completely private. Here you can enjoy an idyllic breakfast and is surrounded by flowers and the honey-colored stone walls of the property. An indoor garage is available for parking a car and for the other cars there is a street parking nearby.
Domme is an attraction in itself. Built in the 13th century, it stands above a bend in the river Dordogne. Its history is fascinating and its old buildings and streets have been perfectly preserved. It has restaurants of all grades, a weekly market and its own caves accessible from the market square.
Within easy reach are the medieval town of Sarlat (much used in film sets), the amazing cave systems of Perigord, the spectacular chateaux of Castelnaud, Beynac and Montfort and the troglodyte villages of LaRoque Gageac and St Christophe.
Activities
Golf is available at the Domaine de Rochebois (7km away) and near Siorac, there is canoeing on the river, riding 4km away and tennis courts are available at Domme.
