Holiday house Goursat Bas is situated in a quiet rural setting on a gently sloping area of 8000 m2 with no through traffic and adjacent to a walkway. The complex consists of two parts. The owners are living in the old farmhouse but the holiday house has a private courtyard which is separated by a wall for privacy with 2 terraces which one is covered. An ideal place for walking and enjoying the nature or for traveling on the mountain bike.
Description
Ground floor: You enter the central kitchen / diner. The kitchen has a fireplace and is also fully equipped with a dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer, stove with oven, microwave and various coffee makers such as filter, Senseo and Nespresso. Left is the cozy living room with TV. There are also several books and DVDs available. On the other side, there are two bedrooms, a separate toilet and a spacious bathroom with shower. On the 1st floor is the 3rd bedroom. On arrival the beds have been made and towels are provided. he whole house has central heating and internet. You will also find a washing machine and a children's cot, highchair and baby bath.
Outside
The total area is fenced, so it is safe for children and dogs. You will find a barbecue and garden furniture on our covered and open terrace, as well as a seat on the grass under the tree, and a children's playground.
The Dordogne is well known for its prehistoric sites, castles and gastronomic specialties (like the "truffle" and the "foie gras"). When you are visiting the region, do not forget to see the old historic city of Périgueux (Roman) and the cave of Lascaux (Montignac). The cave of Tourtoirac itself is open since 2010. Also a visit to the many markets in the vicinity is highly recommended.
Activities
Within a radius of 30 km there are several lakes and rivers for swimming, canoeing or fishing. The woods are ideal for those who enjoy walking or cycling. (A mountain bike is recommended). There is a horse riding school at 1km for rides during the summer (by appointment). A 9-hole golf course with a beautiful clubhouse (Essendiéras) at 15 km.
