ColBarrez has an attractive living room with a breathtaking view. You enter through the front door, where the toilet is immediately on the right and the stairs to the ground floor on the left.
The cosy living room has a comfortable leather two-seater sofa from where you can fully enjoy the beautiful view through the French doors. A stylish side table and beautiful cushions provide a warm and homely atmosphere - a real "Home in France". Here you will also find a dining table for two people, ideal for an intimate dinner.
The open kitchen is cozy, fully equipped and decorated in French country style. You cook on a stylish black SMEG gas stove with electric oven - perfect for preparing tasty casseroles or an extensive dinner. The countertop is made of granite and from the kitchen you look out over the valley that the house overlooks.
From the living room you step onto the spacious balcony - the place for a first cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening sun. Here you experience outdoor life at its best.
ColBarrez can be rented all year round. From June to September you live mainly outside, but this is also a wonderful place in the autumn or winter. Inside it is cozy and comfortable - ideal for reading a book, following the news on television or relaxing with your favorite films and series.
The bedroom is located on the first floor, accessible via the stairs from the living room. Here is a comfortable double bed, consisting of two box-spring beds with a luxurious top mattress. A robust oak back wall, bedside tables and reading lamps complete the whole.
In the bedroom you will also find the washbasin unit with spacious washbasin and a very large walk-in shower. In addition, there is an open oak cupboard to store your clothes. The holiday home also has a washing machine and a tumble dryer - handy for a longer stay.
Outside
From the bedroom you have direct access to the large wooden terrace with comfortable garden furniture. On the side of the house there is an attractive veranda, located under the balcony of the living room. This place offers a lot of privacy and a beautiful view - an ideal place to relax.
Next to the house is a beautifully landscaped wooden terrace of approximately 30 m² with a cozy seating area. The rest of the plot - approximately 300 m² - slopes downwards and is fenced with a wooden sheep fence, which guarantees your unobstructed view. Every now and then sheep come to graze, which naturally help to maintain the terrain.
Via a small staircase you reach the veranda at the rear of the house. This sheltered spot is located under the balcony and is ideal for warm summer days or when the weather is a bit less. Here you can use a ceramic BBQ or the plancha plate to prepare vegetables, meat or fish. With such a view and that peace and quiet, it is pure enjoyment to enjoy a cup of coffee or a good glass of wine - inside and outside.
In the region around Mur-de-Barrez you can enjoy delicious regional dishes that are available at the cozy local markets. You will also find an atmospheric market in Mur-de-Barrez itself, and in the summer there are regular evening markets where you can taste all the delicious things the region has to offer.
Holiday home ColBarrez is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful surroundings. Various hiking trails start directly from the village that take you through the impressive landscape of the Aveyron and Cantal. Mountain bike enthusiasts will also get their money's worth thanks to the many routes in the immediate vicinity.
In the summer you can swim in a nearby outdoor swimming pool or relax at a beautiful swimming lake.
During the winter months you can go cross-country skiing just 30 minutes away. For a day of skiing, drive to the Le Lioran ski area in the Massif Central.
