Whether you're looking for a family holiday in the Dordogne, a romantic getaway for two, or a holiday home in the Périgord Noir with a swimming pool – at Le Jardin des Amis, you'll immediately feel at home.
The small village of Meyrals is within walking distance. Here you'll find a restaurant (La Merenda) for lunch and dinner, a bar, and regional dishes and excellent pizza. The village also has a bakery. On Thursdays during peak season, there's a small market with local produce. In summer, there are regular village festivals, which are very enjoyable! All of this is just a 5-8 minute walk away.
The estate is situated in the heart of the Périgord Noir, in the "golden triangle," just 6 kilometers from two beautiful rivers, the Dordogne and the Vézère, where you can enjoy canoeing or, for the less energetic, take a trip in a traditional gabare (flat-bottomed boat).
Fishing is also possible in both the rivers and lakes in the surrounding area. Those who prefer walking will find numerous marked trails and routes, some of which even pass right by our estate. The ancient pilgrimage routes to Santiago (St. James's Way) also pass through this region. Walking and hiking are popular activities in this area, as are cycling and mountain biking. Many of the routes are also suitable for horseback riding, with various options available.
The region boasts several air parks for all ages, tennis, football and rugby, truffle hunting, rock climbing, caving, sightseeing flights (by ultralight or hot air balloon), and much more. For golfers, there are several excellent courses in the area.
