Caillavet is a beautiful holiday home with a total area of 130 m² and offers on the ground floor a large living room with modern furnishings but retaining old features of the house. There is a large traditional fireplace. The open kitchen is well equipped with a 4-burner stove, a large fridge/freezer, an oven, a microwave and a dishwasher. The kitchen leads through a glass door to the sunny terrace. The dining area has a long wooden table with six comfortable chairs and a sideboard. The cozy living room is equipped with an L-shaped sofa, coffee table, flat screen TV, DVD player. A highly efficient wood burner is available for romantic fires in the mid and low season. Adjacent is a light and bright room with a desk and a large carpet, which can be used as an office or as a playroom. It also leads to the terrace. The laundry room is located in the garage. It offers a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board. Toilets and washbasins are also available on this level.
There are 3 large bedrooms and they are located on the first floor. They all have a beautiful exposed roof structure and wonderful views of the garden and the hamlet. To the right of the landing, the two interconnecting bedrooms offer high quality queen size beds, two bedside tables and lamps, a chest of drawers and coat hangers. The third bedroom is on the other side of the landing and also has a top quality queen size bed, chest of drawers, two bedside tables and lamps. The bedrooms share a lovely shower room with walk-in shower, washbasin with furniture and toilet.
For our youngest visitors, a cot with a good mattress, a high chair and even a baby bath is at your disposal.
In summer the house stays cool thanks to the thick stone walls. In winter it is very comfortable with its gas central heating and efficient wood burner.

In the summer you can enjoy the large private pool and the beautiful jacuzzi, which is heated to 38 degrees all year round. The mature private garden of 30.000m2 offers maximum tranquility. Lots of wildflowers and birds come to visit! The children will enjoy the large lawn to play football. The terrace offers a beautiful view over the garden and the swimming pool. It has a large table, 6 chairs, a large parasol and an excellent Weber gas BBQ for alfresco dining. The pool is 10mx5m. and is equipped with 6 sunbeds and a parasol for relaxing. And don't forget the quality spa with 4 seats, available all year round and heated to 38 degrees. There is a covered carport available for 1 car. 2 other cars can park in the private driveway.
The Caillavet holiday home is located less than 4 km from the quiet medieval villages of Saint Chamassy and Audrix and only 8 km from Le Bugue, where you will find all the local shops, several supermarkets, numerous restaurants and a large market on Tuesday and Saturday morning. At the crossroads of three valleys, the house is ideally located to visit the high tourist sites of the Dordogne valley (Sarlat, Domme, La Roque Gageac, Beynac...), the bastides of the Bessède valley (Bessède ( Cadouin, Beaumont, Villefranche, Biron...) and the prehistoric sites of the Vézère Valley (Les Eyies, St Léon, La Roque St Christophe...) The International Museum of Prehistory in Les Eyzies de Tayac and its famous decorated cave of Fond de Gaume, are less than 10 minutes from the house.
