At Brive you leave the motorway and the adventure starts. Immediately you notice small lovely villages and many castles hidden behind the trees against the hills.
20 km (13 miles) from Brive you enter the medival town of Terrasson; located at the river Vezere.
Cublac is located attached to Terrasson at a distance of /- 2,5 km (1.5 mile).
In Terrasson you will find all the shops you need. There are 5 big supermarkets (Champion, Atac , Lidl, Intermarche, Mutant) , fashion , sports , DIY superstores etc. and even a McDonalds. There are many restaurants; in the old and the new part. Famous is Terrasson's weekly market on Thursday mornings and the beautiful gardens les jardins de l'Imaginaire.
At 20 km ( 13 miles) distance from Cublac you will find the village of Montignac, wellknown from the Caves of Lascaux; the first caves where they found drawings of the prehistoric human being.
At 40 km ( 26 miles) distance from Cublac you will find the main city of Dordogne: Sarlat, a medival city known for its atmosphere, food , small old streets, marketplaces and nice shops.
