La Grange de la Courdie is a beautiful 400 year old barn conversion for 8 to 11 guests with a private heated pool, offering a unique retreat in the heart of the Dordogne. The Grange is set in a stunning area surrounded by forests and woodland which are inhabited by deer. The property is situated 3kms from the charming village of Ste. Alvere, famous for its Black Truffles and 12kms from the bustling market town of Le Bugue which is built over the Vezere river. Both Bergerac and Perigueux are approx a half hour drive away.

Description
The Grange has been recently converted to a high standard whilst maintaining many of its original features and character. The ground floor has travertine tiled flooring throughout and exposed stone walls. The first-floor of the property has oak flooring and features original beams. The property has oil-fired central heating and consists of 4 large bedrooms, one situated on the ground floor and 3 on the first floor, a large kitchen and dining area, a laundry/utility room and ground-floor W.C., a spacious lounge with a wood-burning stove and French doors opening onto the rear garden.
Ground Floor : The living room - The spacious 48m2 lounge offers you a comfortable area for relaxation and includes a wood burning stove for cozy fireside evenings with access to a wood store. (A single-bed/cot can be added if required). Bedroom Three (18m2 has oak beams and flooring and provides a large oak double bed, bedside lockers, lamps, built-in wardrobe and a comfortable seating area for two. There is a window overlooking the pool area and an en-suite shower with washbasin and toilet. (This bedroom can accommodate two single beds if double not required). Bedroom Four (36m2) has oak beams and flooring and provides a large oak double bed, bedside lockers, lamps, built-in wardrobe and a comfortable seating area for two. Outside
The Grange sits on 3 hectares of rambling gardens that include a 8000m2 walnut grove and an historic pigeonniere (dovecote). There is a beautiful south-facing courtyard with a large covered terrace and a fully equipped barb-a-q area furnished to enjoy al-fresco dining. The child friendly swimming pool (10m x 5m - 1.2m deep) is tiled with stepped access and is heated from April to October. The courtyard area is complete with sun-loungers and parasols for pool-side sunbathing.
