Description Gite Le Fournil (5-6 persons)
The cottage got its name the oven-house off the former use of the building which was to dry the plums to become prunes in what we call a prune oven. Today the building has been transformed into a cosy and comfortable cottage. With a surface of 85 m² it can ccommodate 5 to 6 persons. A nice outdoor terrace gives you the possibility to dine outside. Living room: One spacious and luminous sitting area with French television gives you and your family the rest you need after a long day. The exposed beams and natural stone walls are providing you with the typical rustic scenery of this area. The equipped kitchen gives you the opportunity to try the local recipies.The cottage has 2 bedrooms and a mezzanine, each with 2 beds of 90 cm. One of the bedrooms has its own bathroom. There are wardrobes. Two bathrooms complete this nice cottage (one of them is a en suite). Both bathrooms are equipped with a shower, a wash basin and a toilet.
Outside
You can relax by the pool, secured by a fence, providing a lovely wide view over the surroundings. The shared and secure swimming pool gives everybody the possibility to cool down and enjoy the lovely views of the bastide of Monflanquin. Not far from the gîtes is the entrance of a wide forest in wich you can walk or mountain bike surrounded by wildlife and nature.
A few km away is the beautiful medieval fortified town of Monflanquin where there are several bakers, a supermarket, an Info Tourism and various nice restaurants. In the summer there is plenty to do, such as the markets of Issegeac and Libos or wine tasting at the Monbazillac castle. Visit Chateau Biron, Chateau Bonaguil or the castle of Josephine Baker, Les Milandes, with its beautiful bird of prey show.

Walking or cycling (bicycles for rent in Monflanquin), mountain biking. Swimming and recreational beach in Lougratte. A canoe trip on the Dordogne, Vézère or Lot. Nearby you will find water amusement parks such as, among others, Walibi, the climbing courses through the trees of "Parc-en-ciel" and various other theme parks.
