Situated in the Lot et Garonne (South West of France), this domain welcomes you for a relaxing long weekend or restful holidays. The gites (cottages) and the beautiful swimming pool are situated near Monflanquin, a charming fortified town of the 13th century. There are two independant cottages, each with their own character. The first gîte, named L'Auvent can host 6-8 persons, with all commodities. It's surrounded by a large green area to stretch your legs. The second gîte, named Le Fournil (the former Oven house to dry the famous prunes of Agen) can host up to 6 persons. Both cottages have been recently restored. The disorientation, the calm, as well as the patrimony, historic and culinary, are assets to refresh your ideas and you well-being during your holidays.
Description Gite L'Auvent (6-8 persons)
The gîte L'Auvent is situated in the middle of a large garden, having the advantage of a good exposure of sunshine. You can dine on the terrace offering you splendid view of Monflanquin. Living room: A large dining table. television ; a fully equipped kitchen. The interior has been restored with maximum preservation of old elements. The gîte L'Auvent comprises 3 bedrooms of which one with 4 beds. Surrounded by country side you will find here the peace and quiet you were looking for. The bathrooms of L'Auvent have a shower and a wash-basin.
Outside
You can relax by the pool, secured by a fence, providing a lovely wide view over the surroundings. The shared and secure swimming pool gives everybody the possibility to cool down and enjoy the lovely views of the bastide of Monflanquin. Not far from the gîtes is the entrance of a wide forest in wich you can walk or mountain bike surrounded by wildlife and nature.
A few km away is the beautiful medieval fortified town of Monflanquin where there are several bakers, a supermarket, an Info Tourism and various nice restaurants. In the summer there is plenty to do, such as the markets of Issegeac and Libos or wine tasting at the Monbazillac castle. Visit Chateau Biron, Chateau Bonaguil or the castle of Josephine Baker, Les Milandes, with its beautiful bird of prey show.

Walking or cycling (bicycles for rent in Monflanquin), mountain biking. Swimming and recreational beach in Lougratte. A canoe trip on the Dordogne, Vézère or Lot.
