The four star camp-site Des Bastides lies between the rivers the Dordogne and the Lot near the beautiful bastide borough Monflanquin. From the terraced camp-site with a lot of blooming plants and shrubs you have a superb view over the valley of the Lède.
The camp-site has a surface of 6.5 ha. with 90 wide pitches with sun or shade, luxurious mobile homes and chalets. After a welcome drink you will feel yourself immediately at home at the family camp-site. You will get a booklet with information about the camp-site and the surroundings. There are brochures, bike and hike tours available in the reception. Fresh bread is every day available in our camp-site shop.
Chalets and mobile homes
The chalets and mobile homes have been comfortably equipped for a maximum of 6 persons. Two bedrooms, of which one with a double bed and one with two single beds, a bed-sofa in the living room for 2 persons. Bathroom with shower and wash-hand basin. A kitchen, equipped with a gascooker and a frigidaire. The chalets have a covered terrace with garden furniture and the mobile homes have a covered terrace of wood with garden furniture. There is one "chalet de luxe".

Facilities
The children can enjoy themselves in the playground, on the inflatable castle, in the tree ropes, playing table tennis or table football, while you enjoy yourself playing jeu de boules, billiard or darts.
Swimming pool
There is a large swimming pool (10 x 20 m) and a bath with water toboggans. For the small children there is toddler's pool with a water fall and a fountain and separate baby pool. It is always fun at the terrace of the large swimming pool. There is a (snack)bar for drinks, meals and take aways. During the peak season there are pool games and in the evening disco for the children.
Activities
During the peak season our animation team organises an entertainment program for everybody. The daily "Basticlub" for the small children. Sport events such as volleyball, jeu de boules, table tennis, water polo etc. Games such as foxhunt, phantom night and droppings. Canoe excursions on the Dordogne river, mountain descents, speleology, archery or horse riding. Excursion to a wine château.
Surroundings
There are a lot of bastides in the surroundings; Monflanquin is a beautiful example. This is a must to visit. In the region you find numerous cosy markets where farmers sell their fresh products. In the village of the camp-site there is an evening market on Wednesday during highseason; buy a bottle of wine and a prepared dish at the the market and you enjoy eating it jointly with the local population at long tables. But also there are many old castles like e.g. the Donjon in Gavaudun (11th century) or the impressive castle Bonaquil.
