Our friendly small-scale camping area is located on the highest point of our domain here at La Bastide. This guaratees you excellent views of the castle of Coussac-Bonneval and over the meadows being grazed by beautiful Limousin cows! On this camping area are luxuriously appointed, furnished house tents. There are also pyramid tents to rent, or individual camping places for your own caravan, campervan or tent.
House tents (40m2)
If you want the friendliness and freedom of camping, but on the other hand the luxury of a vacation home, we can offer you a fully equipped House Tent for up to 4 persons to rent. The House Tents are very big, 40m2, and with full head height throughout. The floor area is about 6X6 metres and the tent is completely wood floored. At one end of the tent are two sleeping places where you can dream away the night on single boxspring beds, besides which is a little closet to place your belongings in.
To the front of the tent on the lefthand side there is a kitchen area with a refridgerator and double cooking element. There is also full cooking equipment in the dresser next to the refridgerator complete with glasses etc. Provided is also a table and four chairs for dining, these are also for outside use.
It also has a wooden outdoor terras, with an outside kitchen. Furthermore there is a couch and chairs and a coffee table.
In addition there are two sunbeds and a parasol.
If you have children who like to sleep in their own tent you can also rent an extra smaller tent placed next to the House Tent. This is called a Pyramid tent and comes complete with air beds. You have a private shower and toilet in the building with sanitary facilities.

Extras
Together with the other guests you can cool down in our small private river. There is also a cosy BBQ area for your use, whilst your supper is cooking you can drink something and dream away before the flames of the open fire.
Surroundings
'La Bastide' is situated in the village of Coussac-Bonneval which is in the Department of Haute-Vienne, near the Dordogne and the Correze. 'La Bastide' (which means fortress) is situated 400k South of Paris, in the middle of the triangle formed by Limoges, Brive and, the capital of the Dordogne, Perigeux.
Within a 500 metre walk you will find a traditional bakery, butcher, two small supermarkets, and an hotel with an excellent restaurant, as well as some wonderful cafes. Furthermore you will find lots of sporting activities like tennis, golf, swimming facilities, walking and mountainbiking areas,
and of course the famous fishing spots. In the Winter it is possible to go skiing and snowboarding within a two hour drive.
The whole domain of 'La Bastide' (1.8ha) which includes a small lake, was built in the 18th Century and reflects that traditional style but with the advantage of modern, up to date facilities. So 'La bastide' is your perfect holiday location, here you can experience silence, peace, nature, space and still have lots of great places to visit. These include castles, interesting
villages (often Medieval),and wine houses and all within a short distance.
