Splendidly restored "Mas" (farm) with large private swimming pool, situated in Espédaillac in the department Lot. A comfortable holiday house for 8 persons and 1 baby (could be 2 families). Ideal for people preferring rest, space, the French way of living and the country!
Description
The original living room has a high fireplace. A nice spot during spring and autumn with a book or a nice glass of wine. Satellite TV, stereo-set, dvd, several games for children, toys and children's videos. There is wireless internet available. From the room you have direct access to the terrace and swimming pool.
The wide living kitchen is well equipped. Pots and pans, 2 frigidaires, a freezer, washing machine and drier, dishwasher, furnace and microwave. There is always a stock of daily needs like coffee, tea, oil, herbes, toilet paper etc. which guests may use.
On the 1st floor: 4 bedrooms of which 2 parent bedrooms with comfortable 2 person beds and 2 children's bedrooms, each with 2 single beds (in one bedroom the 2 beds can be put together). Also available a cot, a baby chair and a safety baby - fence. Bathroom with shower and toilet. Separate toilet on the groundfloor.
Smoking is not allowed in the house.
Outside
The house is situated in the country at a large lot with much privacy. Families with children will enjoy the large
(completely fenced) swimming pool, the large garden and the play-ground.
The heated private swimming pool, ideal in spring and autumn, is 14.5 x 4.5 m and has 3 levels (40-85-180cm). The first and shallowest level is at the Romanesque staircase (for babies and the young ones). Around the swimming pool there are large terraces with sunbeds, garden furniture and parasols.
Surroundings
The nice village Espédaillac is situated between the rivers Dordogne and Lot. Mas de l'Artillou lies at 4 kilometres from the village. Shopping at 5 - 10 minutes (Livernon or Assier). The closest large supermarket is in Figeac or Gramat (20km).
Many activities are possible in the surroundings. From the house there are several walking tracks. You can swim in the
rivers Lot, Dordogne and Céle. There are many small restaurants where you can eat deliciously for a modest amount. In the summer months there are everywhere festivals and the well-known “vide greniers” and “brocantes”.
Climate
In the summer it can be very hot in the Lot. Temperatures
of 35 degrees and higher are no exception. Spring and autumn are nice times to visit the Lot. The temperature is pleasant and fluctuates around the 20 degrees.
Sight-seeing
Rocamadour is a well-known tourist attraction with many
curiosities and activities for young and old. Further: canoeing, a visit to the caves of Padirac, caves of Peche Merle, the open air museum with outside activities, etc.
