Grande Vigne is a new luxury villa (2010) in the Dordogne, situated on a south slope in Cublac near Terrasson and can accommodate up to 10 persons. You have a unique and open view at the medieval Terrasson and the Vézère Valley. In the spacious garden facing south is a pool of 8.50 x 3.60. The total area surface is +/- 2500 m2. For 2010 : significantly reduced rates by 40% introductory discount! (already included in the rates) 

Description 

Living area approx 210 m2, 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms! Beautiful spacious tiled terrace facing south of about 90 m2, basement of approximately 120 m2 (not yet finished, but can be used). 

Ground floor: Entrance with toilet and stairs to first floor. Living room: seating area with sofas, satellite TV with some BBc and CNN. Console Xbox 360 (rent for EUR 15.00 per week) with 6 games (can be rented for EUR 2.50 per unit per week). Dining area with spacious dining table and 10 chairs.
Complete spacious modern kitchen including hob, 1 ½ sink, hood, dishwasher, microwave oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer. Hallway to bedrooms / bathroom: Bedroom No. 1 with 2 single beds Auping 90-200. Bedroom No. 2 with a double bed Auping 160-200 (2 x 80). Bathroom 1 with bathtub, separate shower with Grohe shower, washbasin, toilet. Utility room with washing machine, ironing board, iron, high chair, vacuum cleaner.
1st floor: Landing. Bedroom No. 3 locked for private use. Bedroom No. 4 with a double bed Auping 180-200 (2 x 90). Bedroom No. 5 with two single beds Auping 90-220. Bedroom No. 6 with a double bed Auping 180-220 (2 x 90). Cot, baby bath with stand. Bathroom 2: shower with Grohe shower, double washbasin and a toilet. Bathroom 3: Shower with Grohe shower, double washbasin and a toilet.
Heating by means of electric heaters. No smoking allowed inside the house.

Outside
Private drive in front of the house and parking for three cars. Beautiful tiled terrace with garden table and 10 chairs, parasol, party tent of 3x3 meters and barbecue. Covered patio of 3x 6 meters next to the pool. Above the ground pool of 8.50 x 3.60 meters with a staircase. Given the massive flooding in June the area around the pool and access is not optimal, there was no time for a recovery (In 2011 a newly built swimming pool with terrace 11x 5.50 meters will be available).

Surroundings
The medieval town of Terrasson (20 km - 13 miles from Brive), lies on the river Vézère. Cublac lies against Terrasson at 2km (1 mile). In Terrasson you find any stores that you need. There are 5 large supermarkets. There are also several restaurants in the old and new part. From a simple pizzeria to a Michelin star restaurant. Famous is the Thursday morning market in Terrasson, the largest in the region. In Terrasson you must visit the old city, the walls and the abbey; and the beautiful gardens of Les Jardins de l'Imaginaire. At 20 km from Cublac lies Montignac, known from the caves of Lascaux, where the first cave-drawings by prehistoric humans were discovered.  You can visit many castles with gardens including Chateau Hautefort. At 40 km from Cublac, the capital of the Dordogne: Sarlat, a medieval town famous for its atmosphere, food, great market with a variety of delicacies such as herbs, olives, cheeses, pate, etc. and beautiful buildings!

Activities
Walking & hiking: Close to the house there are some beautiful hiking trails, varying in length from 4 to 14 miles. Terrasson also offers various 4 (some steep) hiking trails starting at the medieval bridge varying from 4 to 9 miles. Cycling: For mountainbikers an eldorado. Ordinary cycling is nice in the valley.
Canoe and Kayak: In Terrasson (1ml) or Montignac (12mls). Golf: The place to be - there are 6 golfcourses within a radius of 35 miles. In the river: fishing.
Swimming and beach: Lac du Causse (lake) in Chasteaux is located at approximately 17 km with a wide sandy beach on the east side suitable for small children. Water Skiing on the westside of the lake (south entrance at Port Couzages). Terrasson has a large public swimming pool and large practice area for mountainbikers and skateboarders. Flora and fauna: directly outside the house you encounter deer, boars, strange frogs and other species we are not familiar with. Also you find the most beautiful plants.
