Sunny and stylish small castle in French sandstone with a superb swimming pool. Large garden of 1.5 ha and a splendid panorama view. Château-Neuf Le Désert was built around 1890 by the former owner Mr Pollini, French ambassador in Paraguay. He lived in 'Le Chateau Vieux', our neighbour small castle and was owner of approx. 80 ha ground. (Witnesses the names of buildings in the area: Les Vergers du Désert, Le Moulin du Désert, Le petit Désert). He died before the house was entirely finished. The castle was bought in 1976, by an artist from Belgium, Anne Courjaret, who restored and embellished the castle. You can meet Anne and her paintings in the castle. The paintings are also for sale.

In the castle you can rent the tower (for 5 - 6 persons) and 4 studios (for 3 - 4 persons). Of course you can also rent the tower and the studios together.

Kitchen: furnace with 4 jets, hot air oven, work top with built in frigidaire (table model), dishwasher, coffeemaker, microwave.
Other room: 2nd large frigidaire with freezer, fully automatic washing machine, vacuumcleaner.
Upstairs: 3 bedrooms, bathroom, toilet. One bedroom with 2 single beds (90x200); one bedroom with 2 single beds (90x200) and a child bed, one bedroom (landing) with a
double bed (140x200). Bathroom: bath with shower. Separate toilet. Private terrace: 50 m2 with garden table, 6 chairs, parasol and... many flowers. Ideal for a family with 4 children (+ 1 baby).

The surroundings are pre-eminently suitable for walking - and biking excursions. Some beautiful routes: Le Pizou: "Entre rivière et forêt" (5, 10 en 20 km) ; Ménesplet : "En suivant la rivière" (6 km) ; Montpon: 1."Au coeur de la Double profonde le circuit les Comtes" (7 km); 2."Forêt fragile et vulnérable près de l'étang de Babiol" (5 km); 3."Découverte de jolis petits ponts sur le chemin des Dûches" (10 km); St-Barthélémy-de-Bellegarde: "Promenade à travers la forêt de la Double à la découverte de ses étangs" .
