Pierregouneix Bas is a detached attractive and romantic stone house in Perigord style for 4 persons, in the middle of nature, between the landed estates at walking distance of the village Nailhac and at 5 kilometres of the historical borough Hautefort. Rest, privacy, nature and space are the key words for this superb spot of 3000 m2. The house is pre-eminently suitable for people who love nature, rest and appreciate their privacy, also in the peak-season!

Description
Ground floor: Cosy living-room with stove and staircase to the first floor. Open kitchen with a 4-jet gascooker, oven, refrigerator, freezer, coffeemaker, watercooker, breadtoaster. Bathroom with toilet, wash-hand basin, shower, bath and washing machine. Large wide barn.
First floor: Hall, a very large bedroom with a double bed and a large fireplace, a bedroom with two single beds. Water supply occurs by means of a well. Bookcase full of books (English and Dutch, famous novels, detectives,  thrillers and literary thrillers), information material and games.  

Outside
The house lies on a lot of 3000 m2 with grass, fruit trees, lavender-beds and rose-beds. The garden has several terraces. The terrace in front of the house is very wide with shade and sun possibilities. There are several snug corners in the garden. Garden furniture (2 wooden dining tables, 8 cane chairs, three sunbeds, parasol); barbecue. 

Surroundings
From the house, the terrace and the garden you have a nice view over the valley and lovely village Nailhac in the middle of the alternating Dordogne landscape. With some luck you may see roe-deers in the valley in the early evenings. In the village Nailhac is a good nice rural restaurant, managed by a very sympathetic French couple. In the vicinity there are many sites worthwhile to visit: like the castle of Hautefort, the gardens of Terrasson, the caves of Montignac. The village Hautefort (1,200 inhabitants) lies at 5 kilometres distance and offers a large supermarket, pharmacy, post-office, tourist office, hotel and some picturesque restaurants.

Activities
Swimming in the lake of Coucou (at walking distance) - Canoeing and kayaking at the Vézère river. Hiking and biking tours - there are many marked routes. There are maps in the house. Or enjoy the sounds, the fragrances and the colours of nature in the garden.
