Our approach
DordogneMaison is not a travel agent or a tour operator. It is an internet platform of homeowners who rent their home in France. If you book a reservation or send in an information request, your request arrives to a central point. We answer your question or in case of a reservation, make a double check on availability with the owner. In the case of a reservation we next ask you to confirm your reservation, and after we have received the confirmation, we send your information to the homeowner. The homeowner will send you the rental contract, the rental conditions and additional information. You pay directly to the homeowner. Most homeowners are from The Netherlands, Belgium and the UK. In the case of language difficulties between homeowner and lessee, DordogneMaison can assist.

Sightseeing and recreation
Families on holiday also want to explore the surroundings. DordogneMaison is the spot for your inquiries. Dordogne is the region of castles, caves and prehistory. On our website you will find extensive information on all the caves in the Dordogne and the Lot, castles, museums, the most beautiful villages and towns of the region. For active holidaymakers there is information about golf courses, canoeing, hiking trails, biking and horseback riding. For families with children there is information about amusement parks, zoos, water parks and lakes. At each house page you will find a map with all attractions and leisure facilities within a radius of 100km.

The Dordogne is easily and quickly accessible

  • By car: You drive in 8 hours from Calais via the A10, A71 and A20 motorways (300 km toll free till Brive!) and A10 to the south. And you cross the Dordogne from West to East and vice versa through the beautiful new motorway A89.
  • By train: There are TGV (fast train) stops at Poitiers, Angouleme, Libourne, Bordeaux, Agen, Montauban, Toulouse and Brive (1 time per day).
  • By plane: There are airports in / near Bergerac, Brive, Bordeaux, Limoges and Toulouse with sometimes cheap flights from Ryanair and Transavia.
  • Car rental: DordogneMaison's partner is Carhire3000. They work together with the best known and most reliable car rental companies in France and are on average 10% cheaper than the competition.
